Homeschooling in India on HSLDA International

Sometime back I got an interesting comment on my article – Homeschooling Neel in Mumbai.

https://i2.wp.com/www.hslda.org/pdef/XSH1a.jpg

Here is what it says…. –

Hello from the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), an international organization based in the United States. We work to protect and advance the rights of parents to direct the education of their children. We are in the process of expanding the information that we have available on our website about international homeschooling. (please see http://www.hslda.org/international)

HSLDA is currently putting together a webpage for homeschooling in India. Would you be willing to let us post your blog and contact info on our India webpage, so that interested parties could contact you?

If so, please email me directly at international@hslda.org. I look forward to hearing from you!

Warmly,

This prompted me to write a reply to her. This is the email (edited for blog)

Hi

I am from Mumbai , India . I have compiled some stuff as per your standard format. You may include some of it or all or anything else from my blog –https://alternativeeducationindia.wordpress.com/

My son is yet to be 2 years old. So I am thinking of how to go about homeschooling.

You can also see my facebook group – http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=145186648828047

Please note that Other groups mentioned are not mine.

I was very happy when I got this reply from her (edited for blog)-

Thank you for your response! I had taken the liberty of already including your blog website on our proposed India webpage, but I have now added links to the discussion group and the Facebook page. We appreciate the time you took to provide us with current information on homeschooling, and we will be adding the India page to the HSLDA website in the coming week. I will email you to let you know once the information is posted.

It is exciting to hear from homeschoolers in different countries! I will watch your blog to see whether enforcement of or amendments to the RTE develop. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any updates or if we can ever be of any assistance.

Warmly,

Brittany

Now I am waiting for this to happen. In the meanwhile if others have any updates they may contribute directly.
